It's a pretzel with really cheap chocolate/other cheap flavoring. It isn't the end of the world if someone dislikes it.

I actually claim to adore pocky, in 'real life'. I really like it, but not as much as it looks like I do. XD

What I really adore is Konpeito. *drool*

I think Pocky is really popular for two reasons. First, it's one of the most easily accessible snack foods outside of Japan. I mean, you can even find it at like Walmart; you don't have to go to Asian grocers to find it. And second, it's kind of hard to screw up a pretzel stick with chocolate on it. You'll be hard pressed to find people who don't mind it at the very least.

I personally don't really care for Pocky because it's just that; a pretzel stick with chocolate. Because I'm in Japan, there's a much wider variety of junk foods so one doesn't have to limit themselves to what they can only find outside of the country (like Pocky, Yan-Yan, etc).

i used to like pocky, but since i can´t eat them...i turned into a huge fan of omochi...:) ...and DARS chocolate is the best...:)
