Japanese Sign Revelation - 12-02-2007, 07:12 PM

Hi there,

I was wondering if someone here could help me with the following issue.

I am looking for an explanation or meaning for the Japanese Sign Revelation. I attached a picture to this thread.

Thanks in advance.

The first kanji wasn't in my dictionary. Could it be Chinese?

I don't thinks its Chinese. It could be that I was not informed well and that the sign is called differently.

I know it has something to do with respect, but I would like to know a more precise meaning of this sign.

It is Chinese. It appears in every Chinese dictionary and no Japanese dictionary. It's a verb pronounced 'xian shi', it means to display, to demonstrate, to show, etc.

If that's not the answer you were looking for, you may have the wrong word, as it's the only definition I can find for it.
