there is a great site called "nihonjo o naru" (that means learn japnese)
it really helped me out! if you have any questions, you can ask me, although i am not sure i'll be a great help><!
i suggest you start with greetings or some simple conversations.
i can teach you that stuff if you would like!

you can also listen to Japanese language learning podcasts like Japanese Pod 101. There's actually a lot of different podcasts that are at least an attempt at teaching people Japanese... how many of them work? I guess it depends on how you learn and how much you *want* to learn.
