Japanese teacher Wanted! - 02-11-2008, 10:15 PM

Ok, I'm going to college soon, and after I get my degree I was planning on going to Japan to live. but unfortunatley, I only know my name and other little things in Kanji. So please help, and if your up for it, we could just do this via pm's. thanks.

Mm.. that's quite an undertaking to do via PMs XD
You said you knew a few things in Kanji.. do you know the Kana yet?
Memorizing them would be a good way to start.. ^^

thanks, and I suppose that that could be a good place to start. Do you think you know any which you could use to teach me? and it doesn't have to be via pm's. Any way is good for me so long as I learn...

You should start out learning hiragana then katakana, then kanji, learn the language and get fluent as you can by learning phrases and grammar here then do the rest at Japan. That is my best guess. Im learning kanji at the moment and its workign for me. So yeah, good luck finding a teacher though.

if all you want to learn is kanji, buy a nintendo ds and a copy of 'tadashii kanji kakitori kun'

That will help you learn at a pretty fast rate!
