This is a Japanese kanji thread. I don't think the kanji that aren't used in Japan should be introduced in this thread. It will only confuse the Japanese learners. Hope you understand.

"ワン" is an on reading (meaning it came from Chinese), therefore, it should be written in Katakana (the "boxy" script used for spelling foreign words), as opposed to Hiragana (the "curvy" script). I think that on readings should be be spelled in Katakana, or else Japanese learners will be confused. Hope you understand
