Nowhere did I say that I'm not studying on my own. To be honest, you cant really compare uni to online learning or learning on your own using any methods.

What I'm after is a place where I can expand my knowledge by having access to books, teachers, fellow students interested in the same topics, and, of course, get to know Japanese people, language, and culture by going there for a whole year as an exchange student.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, what kind of access course should I look at? There are no specific courses preparing for Japanese studies after all
