How do you say this in Japanese? - 07-03-2008, 02:55 AM

How do you say "could you give me instructions on how to do it?"

(Whatever it is you want to be taught)を教(おし)えてくれますか。

I've put the kanji translation in brackets just in case you don't know what it is.

Basically I've said "Could you teach me (whatever it is you want to be taught)."

If you want to be more specific then some of the guys on here who are better at Japanese should be able to help.

Ronin is right, but that isn't a form we use so often.

Again, depending what you are talking about.

Please teach me how to use XXX

XXXの使い方を教えてくれませんか。
XXX no tsukaikata wo kuremesenka?
Won't you teach me how to use XXX? (a little less formal from the #1)

Please show me how to use XXX.
