It depends on how you define bullying...

Ijime can be bully, picking on, teasing, poking with a stick...those kind of activities.

That's okay... I guess everybody sees things differently. For me, the vocab-sentence thread is a learning experience where I learn new vocabulary and make sentences with new words. I have never feel any competition against the other players either- we helped each other in the learning experience. However, we are basically all beginners, and getting help from experienced Japanese teachers is crucial to correcting our many mistakes which we did not know were there.

So is it okay if I post some of my sentences here, then? Is that better than asking for help on the whole thread?

OK. Here goes:

1. 時間の浪費をし続ければ首!
If he keeps wasting time, I'll fire him!
2. 花鳥画は中国で始まって、唐朝の時代に日本へ入りまし た
"Flower-bird paintings" started in China and entered Japan during the Tang Dynasty.
3. あの噂を立ったことを告白した。でも、噂をばらま くつもりはなかった!
I confessed that I had started the rumor. However, I had no intention of spreading one!
4. 今、ガソリンの需要は大きいですが、将来にはこの必要 性が絶対徐々に尽きる.
Currently, the demand for gasoline is high, but in the future, this need will definitely gradually come to an end.
5. 路子はこのお土産がすきかどうか、私は全然知らん。
I completely don't know whether or not Michiko will like this present.

Please criticize as much as possible =) Thanks!

Hello again everyone. I'm working on some sentences, but I'm not sure if I'm correct. One sentence I'm trying to write is "Thank you for writing." or "Thank you for returning the message." or something along the lines of that. I know how to say, "Please write," te form, but I never was taught how to actually thank someone for actually writing back.

Would it be something like... Ooki ni anata no shibbitsu o kaiteimashita.

I really think this is beyond wrong, but please correct if possible. ^^.

Nice to meet you! (Don't know how to say that in Japanese)...
btw, "ore" is quite rude, as if you were picking a fight =),
so best not to use it at all (even if you were picking a fight).
