This is a good question.

In English and many other languages, you can basically construct the form "number + objects" to describe how many of the object(s) you are talking about.

In Japanese, however, this form is rarely used. You need to add a 'counter' depending on what the object is. When counting corpses, the counter '体' is used immediately after the number.

In the phrase '3体の生贄' , the number 3 modifies the 体 in the immediate sense of the word modification. But since these bodies and sacrifices are identical items, you can also say that the number 3 modifies the 体, and then the number unit '3体' goes to modify the 生贄.

Is there any kanji for "ka"? If so, please post them alongside with their meanings. Thanks in advance!

There are several kanji that have a reading of "ka"

JWP brought up 105. To list them all would be an enormous task.

Bom dia Kai13.

As Nathan said above, 'ka' is one of the sounds that so many kanji can be read as. Where are you trying to use this kanji that you're looking for? What kind of meaning would you want it have if you had a choice? (I'm not saying there would be the right one for you this time, though.)

whoa :\

Well I changed my nickname in some forums and I would like to put in my usertitle my nickname in japanese (I made up a japanese name for me), and I needeed a cool "Ka", meaning somehing cool.

The nick is "kayumi" by the way, I like the "yumi" in hiragana, but i would like the "Ka" in kanji.

I did not know that there were so many kanji for only one sylable o.o

Obrigado Nathan and Nagoyankee!

OK. In that case, I think I can give you some good ones.

= flower = flower

= song = fragrance

= summer = mist

= felicitation = good

Between the first two, 花 is the regular kanji for flowers. 華 looks a little bit louder to the Japanese eye. It also means something gorgeous.

I'm not sure if I'm meant to ask this here, but I've been taking Japanese since year 4 and nothing really stuck until I hit year 9.
Now in year 10, I find I can't seem to remember of what we did previously, like some words I'll remember and some sentence structures but I feel like I'm forgetting alot. Do you think it's because I don't use Jap in day to day life and what would help me be able to remember everything I've learnt.

As with anything, practice makes perfect!

I know I've forgotten a lot, since I don't use it daily anymore (need to fix that ><)

One thing I used to do to help me remember my vocabulary is play the shiritori game with myself. I lost a lot.

Just think of some way to make your studying fun, so you'll actually want to do it.

I used to have a hiragana Scrabble game on my cell phone, that proved both fun and challenging.

As for sentence structures, that just takes practice practice 練習 練習 練習!
Sometimes I created nonsense sentences with proper grammar but silly/odd vocab just to get the structures in my head.

Ex) 蛙が帰るよ! (kaeru ga kaeru yo!) The frog has gone back (home)!

But that's just me being a silly Canadian.

Thanks Nagoyankee!

I've started playing Pokémon Pearl in Japanese since I wanna practice my hiragana and katakana, I can understand a few things, but here are some that I wish I could know the meaning:

And sorry about romaji, In my notebook they're in hiragana.

-minna kara ha (everyone something)

-kimi ha (I suppose this means somethink like "you")

-kono sekai ni ha (this...)

-onnanoko nanda ne?
-otokonoko ka?
(I think these means something like: Are you a boy? Are you a girl?)

-kimi no namae wa (like I said before, "kimi" must mean something like "you", "yours", in this case the sentence means: what's your name?)

-tomodachi no namae ha

-soshite

And once again, sorry for the romaji, I hate to use it, if I could I would write in hiragana.

I'm not completely sure but I think this would be "starting from everyone"
