Well, from the way that's structured, it looks more like "the inside of/within a lion" than "the lion within (the being)". With a lot of words, sticking 内 at the end makes the word read "in/inside of/within <word>" eg. 車内 - in train carriage, 国内 - within the country (domestic).

I don't really hear people sticking 内 to animals to describe the inside of it (so regardless of its meaning, 獅子内 just looks strange to me. I think 獅子内 is a suburb somewhere?)

Miko this is proof you've been elected. <-- Not too sure about this part either.

Don't you worry. The original Japanese is awakward. One never says "騒然っていよう".

Is this the proper way to translate the "なんなの"?

You translated it just fine. "なんなの" is only a colloquial way to say "なんですか".

This is probably the only part that may have somewhat confused you. But the good news is that the original Japanese sentence isn't all that great to begin with. It has no verb in the main clause and it ends with a noun. My translation would be:

That you have made the Dragon jewel shine proves that you are the one who has been elected Ryujin no Miko (by his majesty).

Nagoyankee , thanks so much for going over the script! I made the changes in the original dialogue too. Your version of that last sentence sounds much more natural. I was a bit curious about the whole "騒然っていよう" portion, I'd never heard that used either... glad to know it wasn't just me.

助けてくれよ
My problem is with the last character ("よ") because with this one I can't understand the phrase, but I know that without it ("助けてくれ") the translation would be: "Help me, please."
Can somebody help me? I'm fairly new to the language.

Wow... Thank you very much, but is there any special reason for it to be there?
