When you want to say "I am xxx cm tall", it is already understood that you are answering a related or known question. So your answer can be simply:
- 178 cm.(178 senchimeetoru)

dono = how
kurai = about

Just a quick one. Some ways to say basically "I am happy for you" ?

I was first thinking about something along the lines of:
私はあなたの為に嬉しい

but it's probably messed up, grammar-wise. Please help me If possible, I'd very much like more than one way to say it.

This may be hard for you to believe, but if you say 私はあなたの為に嬉しい to a Japanese, I don't think he/she will understand what you meant at all...unless that person is proficient in a European language. That is just a direct translation from another language and it often doesn't work. That あなたの為に part will make you sound very foreign.

Here are some options. Can't say which one is best because I don't know of your situation.

1. 私もうれしいです。

2.　私も本当にうれしいです。　

3. 本当によかったですねぇ。私もうれしいです。

No no, it's not hard for me to believe I was just spewing something out, and I knew all along that the sentence was wrong (that's why I mentioned that).

So, yes, I know I suck at japanese. And thank you very much for the translations!

Are they really getting across the meaning that "I am happy for you" ? I would understand "私もうれしいです" as kinda "I am happy, too" or "I am also happy" (I guess that would have the desired meaning in the right context though, but otherwise?).

But then again my knowledge in the language is... limited.

You're right.　「私もうれしいです。」　is only my translation of "I'm happy for you." without adding a few more words to convey the original nuance. I did so because Japanese-speakers would never say word for word "I'm happy for you." Never. This is why I wanted to add something before saying 私もうれしいです like I did for #3 in my last post. I added a lame 本当によかったですね just to give you an example on the safe side.　To do this better, I need to know what has happened to this person that makes you happy as well.

Another often-used phrase would be:

「自分のことのようにうれしいです。」

Again, while being a perfect sentence to us, this would not literally translate into "I'm happy for you.", either. No natural Japanese sentence would.

Uhm im writing a short presentation in japanese and im really confused about what to say after the first scentence, its like really basic tho...

はじぇみまして、ぼくのなまえわじょはんです。　いま はにじゅにさいです。

is it right to use ima? looks kinda repetitive to use "boku" or "watashi" over and over again.
