Don't know what materiru means with out a dictionary but...hontoda is an expression, i can't remember what quite yet,
Dono shahshin?- Mr Photograph? or Person photograph? ("who is" without actually saying it)
the next line is : what is this japanese person's name?
the next line is :my living room is small and interesting.

Mind you non of this is propper form Japanese. Did this come form a Japanese person? anyway great conversation!!LOL

If you look up a few posts, you'll see that Kuroneko already answered Hirofuji's request. You can look at his post to answer your own questions you had about the translation ^_^

Yes, however in this context, since you are referring to yourself, you would never mean to call yourself "interesting" it sounds a little too arrogant. And when describing people and using "omoshiroi" the intended meaning is almost always "funny."

Nihon (日本）does mean Japan.

"Desuka" （ですか）: desu - is the verb "to be", and ka is like the japanese version of the question mark (?)

so for example:
だれですか(dare desuka) = who are you? (well, it'd be あなたはだれですか）
