If English is your native tongue... then German is easier.

As far as I'm aware German and English are in the same "language group" and many of the words and grammar are similar to each other.

German is a difficult language for others to learn but I think its far easier than japanese!!! Also you dont have to learn all the signs...

And if you decide to learn german, feel free to ask if you have any questions! We also have german threads here...

Even though my language is simmilar to German, I think Japanese is easier. (Guess this has to do with my dislike of nearly everything german)

I'd say Japanese is easier. My native tongue is English, although I speak Spanish at my house. I guess it's easier for me because Japanese sounds are like that of Spanish.

Japanese - easy pronunciation, easy spelling, moderate grammar, kanji is awful, very flexible

German - so easy to learn if you already speak English

For either, get Rosetta Stone (pm me for info)

Japanese is more easy to English! Kanji sometimes hard, but everything, OK! So you are learn German, good too!
