Learning Japanese with Podcasts...? - 10-09-2008, 06:14 PM

im trying to learn japanese by podcast. Learn Japanese @ Japancast.net - Learn Japanese with our free Japanese lessons in podcast format. We use examples from anime and everyday conversation to teach you Japanese that is useful for everyday life. Hitomi-sensei is from Tokyo and will teach
it's working okay.
has anyone else tried to learn by podcast?
anyone recommend others?
i'd love to hear.

I tried to learn by Podcast but it didn't really work out for me. I'm more of a reader than listener and can't really take in much when I'm listening to it but with text you can just keep re-reading it!

And with podcast you can re-listen to it...

That's what I did. I quite like podcasts, since it lets me listen to Japanese while doing something else. In that sense, its useful, but you'll definately need to listen more than once since if your mind drifts, or you're doing something else, you'll not get the best out of it.

I think I used something like Japanesepod101...

I recommend using podcasts and audio learning, but it is a good idea to write and read too.
