Textbook issues - 01-21-2009, 08:14 PM

Hi!
This is my first tipic my name is Suneca, nice to meet you
I love Japan and I decided to learn Japanese, I don't even speak very well English, but I can understand what you say xD.
I bought a book to learn but my problem is that in the book just teach me some words, and I want to learn (first) how to create a sentence, so can you tell help me please?

I can spend several hours trying to answer your question and it wouldn't benefit either of us. If your book only teaches words, it sounds like a dictionary. Get through a few more chapters and then come up with some specific questions.

Thank you for the answers, and yeah my book is more like a dictionary with pictures.

But there isnt any type of sentence construction like:

I eat you.
Subject verb etc...?

I suggest getting Genki. Beginner friendly book for Japanese.
