How do I type Hiragana and Kanji in VISTA???

I can only type in katakana??? And I see no "A" like others have tried to tell me before. Oh, and don't tell me to remove vista and reinstall another OS because that's a waste of time. And yes I have googled and searched for this and have failed, which is why I am coming here. So, now that those pointless questions are out of the way xD, how can I type in Hiragana/Katakana/Kanji in VISTA?

I don't think anybody really knows.. No one uses Vista anymore, it ruins computers

umm No it doesn't but ok, I just want to know how to type somethiing other than Katakana :'(

I can't lol my computer doesn't have internet where I am so I'm using someone else's computer that of course, doesn't have skype

Haha, ok. Let me try and write out the steps.

1. Click on Start -> Control Panel
2. Click on Clock, Language, and Region
3. Click on, "Change keyboards or other input methods"
4. Click on, "Change keyboards"
5. Click on, "Add..." and scroll down until you see "Japanese (Japan)", click the drop-down list and click on "Keyboard", then check, "Microsoft IME".

i just did that but it still wont type japanese?

You have to switch the language over when you are typing. Press, "Alt+Shift" to do it. If there is an A button, click on it and choose your alphabet :P
