The first email I sent out to Japan came back with that correction. I was suggested to avoid writing こんにちは as 今日は since it can be read as きょうは. It seems on this one every native speaker is on the same side


降り注ぐ雨 マジで冷てぇ
暗闇の中 歩くしかねぇ
everything’s gonna be okay 恐れることねぇ
辛い時こそ胸を張れ

Hiragana is the appropriate way to write it. Sorry if my message was confusing, I was just mentioning that using kanji isn't technically wrong (though easily misread as mentioned).
