Some words for my novel

Hi
as written in the topic Im writing a novel (and Im willing to release it someday!). I'm from Germany and a BIG fan of Japan. And Japan anyhow is mixxed in the fantasy world of that novel...
but to get to the point: There are some word I would like to know if they are correct.
One of the main characters is a contractor and as such a kind of a demon. He is known for his red eyes. So I wanted to call him "Red-eyed Demon".
A homepage translated it to: Rugan (or Ru-gan) Youkai (which was translated from demon/specter). Can I also write it like YĆ“kai?

The second one is also importand for me, the title. I wanted to name it "Dark Legacy". It was translated as: Antan Izou

Plz correct me if I am wrong :D
thx in advance!

Umm... I've heard of youkai but never the way your spelling it. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you can spell it that way.

Just keep the title "Dark Legacy". It's really cool, MUCH cooler than whatever the Japanese equivalent would be! ;)

thx for the answers. OK if you think that it sounds cooler then I will change it to the english title :D .

The only question left is the one about Rugan or the correct way to translate "red-eyed".

I think that I will translate the novel into English when it goes done well!
at the moment its still German
