Great question. This is another "forced combination"...not a real word, so it could mean a variety of things.

The first chraracter means "live" but it also means raw, pure, draft (beer).
The second character is the first half of a combination that means "now, presently" but by itself it means "consciousness" or "reality".

So this tattoo could be read "raw consciousness", "pure reality" or any other combination of meaningless phrases.

Well, it has the characters for life (生) and long (長), but I believe combined they mean growth. There could be other meanings, though. I am still working on mastering Kanji.
