Books to learn Japanese - 03-08-2007, 03:45 PM

Could anyone recommend some good books to learn Japanese? (reading and writing) I'd say I'm still a beginner, so any good books that will help me start off would be great.

Minna no Nihongo is a good book to study from, it has almost no english but that helps you to learn more.
