New JLPT 1 (N1) Advanced Materials - 12-25-2009, 02:31 PM

I'm currently beginning my study of JLPT 1 Grammar and Vocabulary.

It was stated that the new JLPT Level 1 (N1) would test more advanced materials as compared to previous years.

What is meant by "More Advanced Materials?" Can someone provide me with examples of these "advanced materials"?

Thank you.

I don't think it's harder as such. . . from what I heard they'll be five levels as opposed to just four, so I'd assume the new level two would be the equivilant to the old level one. The new level one would obviously be harder, but its not really comparable to the old level as such. I could be wrong though, and I probably haven't explained it well either :S

I think you're wrong. I think Level 1.5 is just a filler between 2 and 1, with 2 and 1 not becoming significantly different from before. 1 just has a few more kanji in it now, no?
