Hi all! A beginner needing help with Nihongo - 07-10-2010, 01:12 AM

Hi all how are ya!

I have some questions about japanese.

1. Lets say you know Hira, Kata, and Kanji, but how on earth do you know when to use Kanji or hiragana? For example, Arigato gozaimasu. Is that supposed to be in hiragana or kanji? And how do I know?? Please help me on this one, this is really confusing...

2. How hard is Japanese really I would love to learn but sometimes just the though of Japanese being extremely difficult stops me....

Well, thats it for now, thanks!

Learning the different systems also includes learning when to use kanji and when not to. There are kanji for "arigatou" but most of the time it isn't used.

How hard Japanese is simply depends on you.
