but please research the implications that ivory trade has on animals...especially elephants in countries such as Kenya.

I'm not in the ivory trade this was bought for $1 at a yard sale. It may not even be real ivory. Thanks for the help.

Doesn't look like Japanese to me. Looks like the sounds for "ya" and "yu" in Korean a bit, but I don't think it's Korean, either. You can't put those two together like that AFAIK.

This is retarded but... it kinda looks like 大穴 (おおあな; Big hole) with 大 sort of written sideways-y with its left leg connecting to the top of 穴. Or maybe 大六 (たいろく/だいろく; Tairoku or Dairoku, Japanese forename) ... I'm 100% sure that's not it, just wanted to point that out though :P
