That's crazy, my wife explained this to me last night. I never watch TV so I don't really watch comedians. I always make oyaji gyagu though so I'm clearly a ボケモン.

It's funny because up until now I always called myself "ボケっとる" (ボケている) because I'm very forgetful... ironically it carried a double meaning about myself that I didn't know about haha.

Hrm . . .

One sounds like Hitler or an emo,

Two: Snow monster

Three: Cross dresser or transvestite!

My Life Sucks- The kids I babysit have drooled, ripped or drawn on all of the cards and put the cars with the little people in the microwave!

I have no Friends- The cats have scratched and destroyed all of the DVDs!

I always owe someone- In fact I put two os in it!

I always ruin my clothes with Bleach!- The show is so dom suspensful I spill my grape soda on them!

But . . .I'll live.

Well it's nice to know how kids nowadays trivialize the Holocaust!

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. I guess ボケ sounds kind of like ばか, so that can be a good mnemonic.

We used to have a pair stereotype like that in the US. Abbott and Costello is the most famous example.
YouTube - Who's on first?
Their most famous routine—called "Who's on First." It's hilarious and an amazing amount of puns are involved.

you know what.
simply watch movies if you want to learn any language. also music. thats the best way to learn the everyday language. words like prom and etc.
i have not seen a movie in my native tounge for atleast 4 years. only whatched them in english. same goes for music. and what happened? i scored amog top 100 in my countys 12th grade english exams, besides i didnt attend atleast half of my english leasons. at least half - i feel i should stress this... and because of all the movies i had seen i did great. also i didnt prepare for international certificate in english - IELTS (like TOIFEL only more aimed for europe) and got 8 out of 9.

this is my suggestion for those who have time on their hands. not only you will learn the language but also cultures, tradtitions and etc.

im saying this because it works..works for me and i hope it will work for you.
