Friends, I have a serious problem with "自分" and "自分自身" - I almost never know which is the subject.

例えばAという役者さんがいて家に帰ってAさんのセリフ を 自分で言おうとしても出来ないんですよ。
Which is the more correct?
"If A has to return to his house, a person can't talk the speech of A." or "If A has to return to his house, he [A] won't can talk his own speech (can't anticipate his part)"?

I was almost sure that this 自分 referred to A, but I didn't get find a nexus with following phrase - "基本的な芝居が出来ていることがまず第一ですので、� �の (sono) 芝居 が 出来ていれば演出家はOKしてくれます。"
I was doubting myself because I thought this "OK" could be the permission of the enshutsuka so that A could come back to his house just after play his performance.
