~よてい and ~つもり

I remember someone saying that there is a slight difference between ~よてい and ~つもり. Something to do with a greater strength in using one or the other. Was it ~つもり that expressed a stronger intention than ~よてい ?

予定(よてい) = Speaker has more concrete plans as to when and how. Literally, you are "scheduled" to do something. Your plans are more official than when you use 「つもり」.

つもり = Speaker has less concrete plans. You are in the middle of your planning process and not much is official yet. You would like to do something but you probably have not figured out exactly when or how, etc. There is a fair chance that you might even end up not doing it.
