I get Boxes when trying to find Hiragana words?

Alright so I am pretty new to the Japanese languages and just got done a couple of online lessons.. I want some practice translating words into their symbols; but every time I try to google a list of words they are all Boxes. Even when I got on google translate and try to get some Japanese words they are all boxes. Can somebody maybe help me out or tell me how to resolve?

You have to enable Japanese characters on your PC....

Please do a search on this forum for such questions before you create another thread.... the table on the left of the main page has the topic subdivisions. Japanese Language is one of the main ones. In there, you will find many helpful threads....
