Little translation - 08-03-2011, 09:28 PM

Hello,
Could somebody please give me a translation of this text?

That's the text of the arcade flyer of the original "Street Fighter II" for the character M.Bison/Vega and I'd really like to know what they said about him back in the days before the grandmasters became playable characters.

"Vega
Who the hell is he? Where is he?
Our determination to both become martial arts fighters is the same,
but his methods are mistaken. He cloaks himself in an aura of evil, and
attacks with fists full of hatred. He claims to be the strongest,
and waits to be called king of the fighters."

Pretty close along those lines
The last line (格闘王の名をほしいままにしている) actually means he wants the title of Fighter King, but I thought that sounded slightly awkward in the surrounding context..so use whichever sounds better to you!

Thanks a lot.
I needed to know this because the current canon says that he is the host of the Street Fighter tournament and I wanted to know if this was the case back then. Because I have a feeling that this idea wasn't established when the original game came out. And now I see that this text doesn't say either that he himself arranged the tournament.

Unfortunately, 「格闘王の名をほしいままにしている」 does not mean either of your two attempts. It means "He maintains the name of 'King of Fighters' at will."

OP, I did not even check the other parts.
