If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

You cannot say 「(place) + で + きたる」 even if you wanted to. The particle will be 「に」.

I am sorry but that is not what it means.

I almost want to give you a prize for your day-long effort, though.

Revised guess: it has the figurative meaning "to arrive" like in English, which essentially means "to become popular."

"OK GO has arrived in Japan!" (i.e., OK GO is becoming/has become popular in Japan)

?

You've got it!

「来る」 in my sentence #2 means "to become popular or successful"

「このバンドは来年日本来ると思う。」 = "I think this band will come to Japan next year."
「このバンドは来年日本来ると思う。」 = "I think this band will be a big hit in Japan next year."

My friend had found the new meaning of 「来る」 in the following video and asked me about it. It is said at 0:37 by a Japanese comedian about a Korean girls band.

Thhats some awesome stuff! I wasn't going to hazard a guess as with the others on pages 1 and 2, I was well off the mark! Keep these threads coming, Masaegu. They really improve all of our Japanese skills.

I'm sorry for all the bad stuff I said and all the feelings I hurt.. Please forgive me
