Neat Charm Box Need Translate - 11-22-2011, 08:28 AM

I bought this at a thrift shop, not sure what it is but had to have it. It has a bunch of little bisque art pieces in it.

The writing on the front of the box looks like mostly cursive kanji, I'm a bit wet behind the ears to understand any of it.
Help please someone?

At least you did not post the photo upside-down (but it needs to be turned 90 degrees clockwise.)

What you purchased is a set of little chopstick rests. It is named "Laurels" by the artist whose family name is Kusunoki or Kusuki. (The kanji for it has two readings for a family name.) I cannnot read his/her first name.

I could already tell by the look of the box that you must have very nice chopstick rests in it. Cheap ones do not come in wooden boxes and they certainly do not have names.
