Help with Christmas translation - 12-11-2011, 11:20 AM

Hi,
I recently received a Christmas present from Japan from my girlfriends Japanese grandmother. I was hoping to send her a gift and a card in a way of saying thanks, and was hoping someone would be able to do me a huge favor and translate a simple message for me. Any help would be absolutely fantastic and greatly appreciated. I was hoping to send a card containing something along the lines of:

Thank you very much for the gift.
Merry Christmas and happy new year.

If anyone could provide the translation for that I would be hugely grateful.

Thanks again

Hello,

-------

Thank you very much for the gift.
Merry Christmas and happy new year.

すてきなプレゼント、本当にありがとうございます。
楽しいクリスマスと、良い新年をお迎えください。

(If you don't mind... I added すてきな, which means nice/fantastic etc. I just thought プレゼント、本当にありがとうございます would sound a bit blunt.)

You might have already noticed, but... just in case...
