Practice Japanese on your mobile phone - 05-10-2007, 05:45 PM

Hello! I have written a small flashcard program for mobile phones, and thought I'd share.
It can show random words from a word list and their translation, or you can guess the correct translation, or view the whole list. Kanji are supported.

There are several word lists included, some are Japanese-English and some are Japanese-Norwegian.
It is possible to create your own word lists, to do so you will need to have Python and PIL installed.

Screenshots, instructions and download here:
Kunren

Handy for getting in a few minutes of practice during breaks, while on bus, etc.
Comments welcome.

The files you want are kunren.jar and kunren.jad in the 'jar' folder.
How to install it depends on what kind of phone you have. If you have a Nokia, you can use Nokia PC Suite to install applications, I'm not sure about other brands.

You could also try downloading with your mobile from http://folk.ntnu.no/hitland/kunren/kunren.jad
