Appropriate word for "determination" - 02-17-2012, 07:21 AM

Hi I am getting a tattoo soon and I wanted it to mean "determination" but when I look at the translations there are many to choose from. Among them are kesshin, kettei, ketsui, and ketsudan. Do they really all mean the same thing or are there appropriate times to use each? Specifically I would like to know which would be appropriate for a tattoo. I made this account specifically for this question lol any help is much appreciated.

kesshin
決心
kettei
決定
ketsui
決意
ketsudan
決断

first letter ketsumeans decision.
so you would better to choose in meaning of second letter.
(or look and feel )

心center core/heart/the inner man/manas/mind/spirit

定set/settle/come to

意will/volition/purposefulness/animus/idea/intent/meaning/message/plan/signal/thought/design/contemplation/bulesis

断cut out/sever/break
