Need help reading old Japanese newspaper

Hello,

I got a copy of a newspaper dated as 1951. I was told this was from tokyo but am not sure entirely- I am also not sure if it is in fact Japanese, but if it is not then I'd like to know what language it is.

Here is a drawing of some of the words and the icon of the newspaper:

Is it Japanese?
If so, what does it say?
If not, does anybody know what language it is?

I just did some research on some other alphabets and found out this is korean.

does anyone know korean, or should I post on a korean language forum now?
