I couldn't find a thread that I thought was appropriate for this, cuzz most ppl need they're own help and i didn't want to cause a diversion.

I just need to know what this says

That's a tough one, mate -- mainly because it's Chinese

The first two characters are present in Japanese, however, and they mean "new song". I ran the second two through a Chinese dictionary, and they mean "experiment" and "listen", respectively.

I guess the best (rough) translation I could give would be "new song listening experiment"...

**Edit: After searching the third and fourth characters more, they do exist in Japanese, but searching for them in the manner in which they're portrayed in the picture brings up almost exclusively Chinese websites. I'm not even quite at a JLPT Level 2 yet, though, so maybe one of our more Kanji-literate members might know more about it

thats weird. . . i got it off a Japanes record label site. . . lol at least i hope so. I searched for Japanese record labels and thats what i got. wow.

the third one looks like, but isn't part of what i got when i looked up the translation for record. then realized. . . its the wrong kind of record. ^_^

新曲試聴 - try out the new song, listen to the sample of the new song
This phrase is used on music stores and 試聴(sichou - trial-listen, audition) is a common word in japanese.
These kanji are all in joyo-kanji.

Hmm.. that's odd, I wonder why I got all Chinese sites? I even ran it through Yahoo! Japan.

Hmm, I got all japanese sites on yahoo and google. it may depend on the language settings of the browser or OS?
when I searched 試聴 on Japanese and English googles, both first results were TSUTAYA online(japanese rental shop).

yeah... everytime i google a phrase that's all kanji only chinese results show up. (unless it's japanese-style simplified kanji, that is).

that phrase just means "here is a new song you can listen to" [and then if you like it, you might buy it?]. i only know cuz i learn chinese, so i've no clue how to pronounce it =)
