A little japanese help needed.

I need a little bit of help with this, I havent been able to figure it out myself.
When you use the conditional; eba or ra forms, as in 行ったら and 使えば. How would you go about using that form with the tai form. So like "If you want to go"

Thanks for any help in advance. After 4 months one thinks I should have figured this out by now.

We use "行きたいなら", "使いたいなら", something like that

Yes, Japanese is sometimes really complicated...

行きたかったら　"If you want to go"

hi, i so happen to have the same problem. it's clearer to me now.
i'm also in the process of acquiring some japanese language skills.
this bugs me too...

when to use "行きたかったら"
and when to use "行きたければ"

This is a little bit of a gray zone...nothing is black and white in language.

"行きたかったら" is more concrete- When you want to go (you are going for sure, but the question is when) 行きたかったら電話してください　"When you want to go, give me a call"

"行きたければ" is more unsure- If you want to go (You haven't decided yet)

I totally forgot "行きたかったら", though I frequently use it.

as MMM san said, it is hard to recognize the difference between "行きたかったら" and "行きたければ".
To me, the former is just a little bit casual; the latter is slightly formal.

I don't think "行きたかったら" has "when" connotation -- no offense, MMM san!

Well, honestly, Japanese language has a lot of expression to indicate just one meaning.

行きたいのでしたら
行きたいのであれば
行きたい（の）なら（ば）
行きたければ
行きたかったら

These lines mean "if you would like to go"; the first is polite and soft; the second is very formal; as for the rest of three -- it's hard to explain... Still, they indicate "if you want to go"

No offense taken. I have heard Japanese natives say it does, and say it doesn't. I wonder if it depends on where you are from in Japan...

As for regional difference, yes, that's highly possible. Though I had lived in Kyoto for 8 years, I sometimes can't understand what my Kansai friends are talking about.
