Kanji and vocab learning tools

Im looking for some tools to help me learn kanji and vocabulary. I kinda narrowed it down to 3 tools:

1. White Rabbit Press Kanji Flashcards.
2. Kodansha Kanji Learner's Dictionary
3. Electronic dictionary (canon wordtank g55)

I want to combine learning Kanji with vocabulary as much as possible (unlike the Remembering the Kanji method where you just get the english meaning of the kanji). The Flashcards should be awesome (and theyre relatively cheap), so I figured I buy those anyway. However for number 2 and 3 I'm not sure wether they work nicely.
Anyone had any experience with any of these tools, or can share any advice with me?

As for the wordtank, besides it being an awesome electronic device, its portable and seems great for looking up stuff on the spot but I am not sure wether or not its actually great to learn kanji/vocab from it directly.
