Unknown compound kanji - 06-30-2017, 11:30 PM

Hello. I'm learning Japanese for about two years now. I'm a type who learns through practice by watching movies and playing games and simply memorizing.

And recently I've encountered this compound:

What does it mean exactly? I know the second kanji means body (体), but what about the first one?

Can anyone help me?

"総:SOU/SUBETE;all/whole"

The combination of 総 and 体 is not usual. It can be the shortened word of "総合体育祭", "総合体育館" or else.
