”分:BUN/FUN/PUN” is used as "minute", "divide","understand" and "portion".

In this case, it is used as a variation of "portion".

"僕の分は終わったよ:BOKU NO BUN WA OWATTA YO;I have done with my part (of the work, job or else)"

"周りの感情を吸収しやすい分" would be translated as "As he tend to feel the atmosphere around him" or "As he has ability (as a portion of property) to feel the atmosphere around him".

Does this help?

Portion?
It is hard to understand for me. Portion means ''part of...'' right? But part of what? In my interpretation, is it the same as 方?

>周りの感情を吸収しやすい分、そんな自分とうまく付 合う術を模索してきたのでし ょう。

It would be translated as "As he tends to accept the atmosphere to easily, he had been looking for the way to control himself in a good manner".

Can you find the usage of the "分" in this translation? It just corresponds to "as".

To explain how "分" works, I pointed out the "portion". I should have take rather "percentage". Does it make sense?
