Heisig books on Amazon: Small question

Well I've found two James W. Heisig books I'm thinking of getting, but I've found two different covers with different titles:
Kanji Book 1
Kanji Book 2
And then there are the kana books:
Kana Book 1
Kana Book 2
And my question is, are the two kanji books the same as each other? And are kana book 1 and 2 also the same?

These look like different covers on the same books, as they both said "Vol:1" I would buy the newer of the two. (Go to the publisher's website and see which cover they are showing there, and get that one.)

Thanks. ^^ I was mostly curious because one out of each are a lot cheaper than the other so if they were the exact same books that would be a waste. :P Thanks for your answer. :)

Pretty sure the kanji books by Heisig don't actually teach you how to read/write them... just how to remember the English meanings

Worth bearing in mind if that is not what you want out of your studying

I used the Hiragana/Katakana Heisig book. I can read and write both without looking them up. So it is useful.
