I'd recommend the "Young Thugs" movies. Miike himself has quoted Nostalgia as being his best film, and it's just about kids growing up. Ok their lives may be harsh, but the humour and love is what really counts in this movie. It's a different side to Miike most people may not have seen.

Wasn't a big fan of Gozu, felt that Cronenberg does this sort of movie far better.

I have not seen IZO or Gozu yet but I'm very interested in them. Any opinions on them?
