buying movies in japan
 

i will be going to japan shortly and i really want to get hyde's movie kagen no tsuki, would i be able to get a region 1 dvd with subtitles over there?

I might be wrong, but I think if you buy a dvd over in Japan it's Region 2..

DVDs in Japan are region 2, and won't have English subtitles usually. The movie has been licensed here in the U.S. for a couple of years I believe. try yesasia.com or ebay, you can always find dvds for region 1 and with english subtitles. Or check your nearest DVD store, they're bound to have a world cinema section.
