All I can say is, the Japanese are MASTERS at horror movies. *shivers* x_x It's... so... realistic.

I think all Asian Countrys are masters, because I have seen some crazy stuff from china and others as well.

Come on, I've seen nastier things under my bed. Koroshiwa Ichi was poorly worked, the Efx were lame, it was very badly adapted from the manga and half-time in the movie I was almost sleeping. There are so much better things then this one.

After a month long marathon of the genre a while back and discovering a latent photographic memory I have stopped watching horror movies for the most part.

But I still remember some visuals from KWAIDAN (1964). Of the four segments of the movie, "Woman of the Snow" made a permanent visual and emotional imprint in my mind, and "In a Cup of Tea" is my other favorite segment.

It doesn't have the gore and mayhem of today's horror movies, but it sure made people uncomfortable for long time.

I keep trying to watch "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance" because I like the story, but I haven't been able to sit through all of it yet. But then its Korean, not Japanese.

Only an open mind and open heart can be filled with life.
