Thumbs up TV Series: Long Vacation - 02-06-2009, 03:54 PM

Realizing that this does not neccessarily count as a 'movie', I can say that one old series (and I mean 80's old) that did have me pretty emotional by the end of it was "Long Vacation". It's sort of humorous and such, but what happens with these people during this drama is pretty deep in its own way...

So yeah... if you can get past the 80s hairdos, fashion and the repetitive music used in the show -- heheheh... - I think some would get a kick out of it.

And I especially enjoy the main theme song. That singer is good.

Ikiru (生きる). Definitely one of Japan's best films, directed by none other than Akira Kurosawa.

Moon Child, the ending, where the friend got killed, there were a lot of sad parts.

It sounds silly but in Dark Water, that scene where the woman leaves her daughter for the dead girl and the daughter's crying for her mum and then the lift goes up, leaving her behind =/ it's just her heartbroken voice and sad face

If you're being sarcastic, I don't remember the details, it's my friends movie not mine. If you're not, the spoilers wern't that bad and you should expect spoilers in a thread like this.

actually, not really. It's not about which parts make you cry... just which movies.

For me it's Moon Child.

"1 Liter of Tears" almost had me whimpering... and I only watched the first quarter of it.
I didn't watch entire thing because it was far too depressing for me.
... Which also makes me feel guilty because it is based on a true story.
