Who are some good Japanese directors? - 08-22-2009, 01:04 AM

I have been into Japanese horror films for some time, but have been gradually broadening my collection into other genres. Thus, I would like suggestions of directors whose films I can look up and buy.

I am already very familiar with Akira Kurosawa and Takashi Miike. They are about it, though.

Thank you, everyone!

Hideaki Anno is my favorite, besides the obvious Evangelion series and The End of Evangelion he made two other fantastic films: Love & Pop and Shiki-Jitsu. He has a very unique style too.

There's also the guy who made All About Lilly Chou-chou, but his name escapes me right now.
