Hm, is this a thread on famous Japan people, or on Oshin... Whatever that is.

Anyway, not seen Oshin, dont want to. I think most famous Japan person is Saaya Irie. Either that or Musashi. Dont know which one is greater...

Even if it seems certain that you will lose, retaliate. Neither wisdom nor technique has a place in this. A real man does not think of victory or defeat. He plunges recklessly towards an irrational death. By doing this, you will awaken from your dreams.

May the Demon find you...

Love Utada - 03-25-2007, 10:26 AM

well watched OSHIN B4... but was too small so didn't understand nothing, but now wanna watch it again. especially (as I remember) the scene with TRAIN in winter.

But now days I think Utada Hikaru is the most famous. (she is my JPN IDOL) or NAKATA(football player) or maybe SHUNSUKE NAKAMURA(fans of MANutd all know)

Utada Hikaru or the actress and boy who play in The Grudge or that freeky school girl in Kill Bill 1 or the Japanese Emporer. I think a lot of Japanese people are famous around the world

even though it doesn't exactly correspond to ur question, but rather "what is the first thing that comes to mind when u hear japan? americans answered (in no particular order):
  • gozilla
  • bruce lee
  • yoko ono
the above according to robert d. deutsch, ph.d

I would think Akira Kurosawa is up there as one of the most famous Japanese people.
