Reading the OP's post this thread looks pretty much of a spam, but the question is intgeresting.

I think it is definitely her, not for any reason than that she was married to one of the world's most famous people. No one cares but everyone knows :o

I watched Oshin on TV when I was like 5 years old. I saw the DVD box set at a Bookoff store in Shinjuku, but the price was ¥20,000 (about $200).

I think the most famous Japanese person in the world is Hiroyuki Sanada. He was even invited to star in US TV show Lost.

Definitely two filmmakers: Akiro Kurosawa (Seven Samurai, Rashomon, Throne of Blood) and Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Laputa, Nusicaa, Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle).

I would agree it's Yoko Ono. Older people don't watch anime in general and it's a bit unlikely that they are familiar with Japanese movies about Japanese topics from Kurosawa. The younger people probably know Yoko for being weird, so I guess it's Yoko. Right after her maybe Takeshi in his role as Lord Takeshi (Takeshi's Castle) and either Miyazaki or Kurosawa (depening on the age).
