Another thing is that there is no pointless sex right in the middle of something... you know, something that disrupts the plotline. Don't mind me too much on this last one, I don't like any of the american horror films.
American horror films are supposed to have pointless sex in the middle it to teach young american kids that sex before getting married leads to death buy a guy in a hockey mask. Problem with American horror today is they tried to make it serious and the old school stuff ment to be soft core porn with gore lol. I see a lot of new age horror that look like college film projects that bring be back to the old days of B movie horror. ahhhhhh the studio stuff sucks =(

I have not seen a lot Japanese Horror but it seems like it was made to scare you. After me and my girlfriend watched the Grudge and then watched Japanese Version we decied we like the japanese version better. My girl friend did notice this all the films we see are by the same writer and the plots are very simlar thus haveing the same effect and thus we are become numb to Japanese horror we have seen. Where any of the other movies you mention writen by the same guy that did the ring, grudge and dark water??? looking for something different style of japanese horror. =) i am numb to the the wet little girl ghost killing people.

Eventual Japanese Horror will die here in the states because the movies they are remakeing are all the plot and it will become just like the old american horrors have be come bastardized by studios.

That was beautiful btw i have to agree. There is a lot of truth. i watched the urban legends movie as a first date movie and there was sex in it... i think they are trying to bring out the human instincts of killing and sexual intercourse... and from what i have read and watched are the two strongest human instincts. But thats in america... in japan its more or less the fight or flight... where you have to either run to save your life or fight whatever is after you, and thats the true meaning of fear/horror.. to me that is... unless you take the american course. thats prolly why we have so many serial killers out there... well not why but it sure reminds you of it. But we really dont know why the media puts out what it puts out

...blah....

Some people say that those are not instincts on there own but they are part of a bigger instinct that witch is survial =). Some people also say that there only only 2 instinct all other sub instinct all go back to these Survial and Motherly/Parental instincts. they says because Parental instincts do the direct oppiste from the survial. they why it get classfied as a sperate instinct all other can all be pointed back to survial. =) then just became a deeper thread then just horror movies hehehe

Hmm....Ju-On and ringu are the best ^^
Imagine how sadako crawl from the well and the mother-child ghost from ju-on can make your heart beat fast

Too bad that forbidden siren is not good enough (the game versions are scarier)

I lost intrested in Resident Evil after 2. You can only have so many zombie games before you get tired of them.
