Recommendations for "older" Japanese directors?

I have seen alot of Kurosawa films and a few Oshima Nagisa and Imamura Sohei films. Recently I saw a film by Naruse and realized that there must be many many good older Japanese directors. I know about Ozu...would you be able to recommend any other good Japanese directors from the past?
