Great movie. I have always follow studio Ghibli films (especially Miyazaki's work), and I really like this one. Although, in my opinion, it will never be as good as Princess Mononoke or Spirited Away, it is still one of the best. Too bad Miyazaki retire.

On wikipedia, it says Miyazaki retired after directing Princess Mononoke, but he came out of retirement. And eiri yeah, its a fantasy film.

I DID!!

In reality, Howl's Moving Castle was his last movie (he said it in a conference on it's premiere). His son is now taking command . In fact, he already release a movie. Tales From Earthsea. It's the latest movie from studio Ghibli. Highly recommended.

When i saw Howl's Moving Castle, i wasnt interested in japanese movies or anything to do with japan, tbh. My dad came up to me one day and was like 'you should watch this movie, its pretty good' so i watched it and i loved it straight away xD

Tales from Earthsea? I'll have to check that out :3

You must have just heard a rumor or somthing. Hayao Miyazaki is NOT retired, period. In fact, he is making his new film 'Gake no Ue no Ponyo' right now to be released in the summer of 2008. It was stated at the press conference that this new film is about a young boy and a goldfish that wants to be a human.

Gake no ue no Ponyo (2008)

Hayao's son making movies now doesn't mean the daddy has retired. So H. Miyazaki. fans around the world, stay happy. It would be a waste of world-class talent if he retired so fast.
